Buff-tailed bumblebee, Bombus terrestris. Bristol, England. Sat in my garden last summer I began to noticed the repeated flight pattern of bees in the garden. They had built a hive under the decking boards and a beautiful round entrance like a web with a hole in the centre where they were going in and out of. This shot captures a worker bee about to land laden down with full pollen sacks.
